PETER J. ARNOTT (BCom.,LLB)

PETER ARNOTT has been a solicitor for 28 years. He has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of NSW (with merit) and a Bachelor of Laws from Sydney University.

He graduated from the College of Law in 1977 and is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and of the High Court of Australia.

Peter completed the Best Practice Standards Course run by the College of Law and is a member of Quality in Law.

Married with three children, his professional aim has always been to offer a cost-effective, high standard legal practice using the latest technology.

Peter is highly experienced in all areas of law, and specialises in conveyancing, litigation, commercial law, corporate law, employment law and wills and estates.

ALAN J. ARNOTT (BSc(Computing).,LLB)

Technology & Telecommunications Lawyer

ALAN ARNOTT joined the firm in 2005 after spending several years working predominantly, in the technology, media and telecommunications team of a top tier national Australian law firm.

Alan has undergraduate degrees from Macquarie University in law and computer science and has a unique understanding of technology that is considered very rare in the legal profession. He is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and of the High Court of Australia.

Alan specialises in assisting small and medium enterprises on a wide range of technology, intellectual property and telecommunications matters and writes regularly in the Australian media. Alan has written for the New South Wales Society for Computers and the Law, Lawyers Weekly, the Communications and Media Law Association, and the Australian Venture Capital Journal. Alan also writes a regular fortnightly column in Computer Resellers News Australia (www.crn.com.au) on technology and telecommunications-related legal issues.

Alan's area of expertise is in assisting internet service providers (ISPs).
